If your church does not meet the specific needs of teens, you might want to consider looking for a church that does. Teens need a church that is alive and on the move, and has exciting things for teens to be involved in. Teens have so much outside stimulations now, that a church needs to recognize that and provide some sort of excitement for teens. They aren't going to settle for quiet, somber music or messages. The church should also be providing outlets for the teens to volunteer in and out of the church. My daughter volunteers twice a month (and also special services) in the infants, and loves it. She also is perfectly happy to sit in the adult service and listen to a very alive and timely message, but sometimes she goes to the teen service, too. My daughter is your typical moody teen, but once she's at church, she's perfectly content to be there. The right church makes all the difference.
