Unless you know the teacher well and can choose something you know they'll love (like you did with your son's teacher), I'd recommend cash or a gift card. While baked goods and ornaments are very nic…

Holiday traffic is usually not an issue. We go to a museum, etc., while everyone else is out shopping. :-)
